Can I change the batteries myself?
Yes. The battery door opens by hand — no coin, no screwdriver, no fingernails required. It takes 2 AA batteries, the kind you can buy at any grocery store, and a set lasts roughly 1-3 years of normal usage. If you ever can't manage it, call us and we'll walk you through it.
Is it heavy? Can I lift it easily?
It weighs about 12 oz or 0.75 lbs, less than a bag of sugar, and here's the part that matters: you don't lift it onto anything or hold it up. It sits on top of the jar on your counter and does the work there. Your hands never carry the weight — they just press the button.
What size lids does it fit?
